Bill
Connors
Student Pastor

I have been blessed to have only one church home throughout my walk with Christ: Eastern Hills Baptist Church.  I came to faith in Christ in September of 1989, and was baptized in the baptistry at EHBC.  The road has been an exciting one!  I married my wonderful wife Melanie in 1991, and we have two daughters, Maggie and Abbie.

I was originally called by EHBC to serve in a part-time capacity with the student ministry in September of 1999, and then called into full-time ministry in May, 2001.  I have a passion for leading students into deeper knowledge of the Bible and how they can apply it to their lives today.  I teach our high school Bible study class during the second hour on Sunday mornings, lead our Trek (7th & 8th grade) AWANA program, and usually teach every Wednesday night at Prime Time in the Youth Room.

My favorite singular verse of Scripture is Romans 6:11:

"In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God through Christ Jesus."

If we are in Christ, we died to sin.  But just as Christ rose from the grave in victory and ascended to God, so we have been raised from the death of our sinful natures and have been made right with God through Christ.  This verse has always helped me to remember my position with God, and how I got there.

Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you have any questions.  You can also find me on Facebook.
