EASTERN HILLS BAPTIST CHURCH WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Mission Statement: To reach all women for our Lord Jesus Christ through Discipleship and fellowship, encouraging them to discover and use their spiritual gifts in missions and the ministries of Eastern Hills Baptist Church.
Our women’s ministry is called W.I.S.D.O.M. A W.I.S.D.O.M. Council of the leaders of our various ministry and activities and the W.I.S.D.O.M. Director meets monthly to set schedules and plan events. W.I.S.D.O.M. includes the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) organizations, Women’s Enrichment and other activities for ministry and spiritual growth.
WMU missions organizations offered at Eastern Hills:
Women on Mission – Third Thursday each month, 9:30 am in Miller Hall
Adults on Mission (for men and women) – Second Sunday each month in Miller Hall following the evening service (approx. 6:30 pm)
Acteens (Mid- and High School Girls) – Sundays, 4:30 pm, Room E-103A
G.A.’s (Elementary School Girls) – Wednesdays, 6:40 pm (6:30 in summer), Rooms E-102/104
Mission Friends (4-5 yrs. Old and Pre-K) – children’s wing
Other activities currently offered:
Women’s Bible Studies – Monday Morning, Tuesday Morning, Wednesday Evening (at church)
Christian Book Club – Fourth Thursday Evening (in homes)
Crafts and Fellowship – Second and Fourth Fridays, 6:00 – 11:30 pm, Room E-102
Quilting Group (baby quilts for Birthright) – Third Saturday, 2:00 pm, Room E-102
Clothes Swap (Blessing Exchange) – At least quarterly
Monthly Fellowships, Retreats, Mission Trips, Church-wide Mission Studies
